Hospice of the Comforter, with administrative offices located North of Orlando in Altamonte Springs, is seeking a full time Clinical Education Coordinator to be responsible for developing and managing the implementation of orientation and continuing educational clinical training programs, coordinating nursing student clinical assignments and providing clinical expertise to internal and external committees and personnel. This position is also responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned staff.Responsibilities: Provides education, training and development to clinical and non-clinical staff. Coordinates orientation and training for staff in collaboration with the human resources department.Develops and presents clinical training programs and coordinates other speaker's presentations as needed. Coordinates the implementation of staff development programs to teach and reinforce clinical hospice care.Coordinates the nursing skills competencies' programs for both orientation and annual assessments. Coordinates the assignment of nursing and pharmacy students to work with clinical staff. Serves as the preceptor of records for nursing students and prepares evaluations of students based on input from nurses serving as site preceptors.Collaborates with the education administrative specialist in maintaining accurate training records. Oversees the nursing department mentor/preceptor new hire training program.
